Thai cooking is one of the jewels of international cuisine. Using centuries-old principles of harmony, proportion and balance, a Thai chef creates meals that include spicy, sweet, salty, sour and bitter elements that all work together. In addition, a great Thai dish is as beautiful to look at and as rapturous to smell as it is delicious. Thai cooking is anything but simple! But it is simply delectable. At Tara Temple, our chefs are flavor artists.
Some ingredients you will find in our distinctive dishes include fresh fish and seafood, meats, coconut, lime, galangal, hot chillies, basil and lemongrass. Thai dishes tend to be lighter than some other cuisines, and they include plenty of produce and plenty of spices and flavorings. Noodles are also a Thai favorite! Our Pad Thai—the national dish of Thailand and a solid customer favorite—is a stir-fried mix of rice noodles, tangy tamarind sauce, bean sprouts, peanuts and a squirt of lime. We also serve an amazing dish we call Big Pad Thai, a noodle-less version with the addition of squid, pork belly and shrimp! It'll fill you up and make you swoon.
